ASC-1230PS Linear Power Supply

The ASC-1230PS is a 3A linear power supply for compatible DC-powered equipment. It converts a 220/240V AC, 50Hz mains input into DC output, with a rated output voltage of 13.0V DC.

The ASC-1230PS can supply DC power to compatible electromagnetic (EM) locks, door controllers, card readers and other access-control devices. It provides a central power source for equipment selected to operate within its output voltage and current ratings.

In an access-controlled door system, each component has a different role. The card reader reads a user’s credential, the controller manages access permissions and door-release commands, and the power supply provides the electrical power needed by the connected equipment.

The enclosed kit measures 300 × 265 × 70 mm and is specified for operating temperatures from 0°C to 40°C. When selecting a supply, check the voltage requirements and combined current demand of the locks, readers and controllers. The number of doors supported depends on the connected equipment, rather than a fixed one-supply-per-door rule.

How Does the Power Supply Work?

From AC mains to DC power

The unit takes a 220/240V AC mains input and provides DC power for connected equipment. Its specified output is 13.0V DC at rated load and 13.5V DC with no load connected.

Its role in an access-controlled door

A compatible controller, reader or electric lock can receive power from the supply according to the system design. Access decisions and lock switching are handled by the connected control equipment.
